Kilgore is located 15 miles southwest of Longview and is the home of Kilgore College and the world-famous Rangerettes.
The city's population is around 12,000. Harmony Living Centers, Inc. has two houses in Kilgore.

Royal is a three-bedroom home in a quiet neighborhood for six adult women funtioning in the profound range
of mental retardation. Residents range in age from the middle 20's to late 50's and must be ambulatory.
They attend a pre-vocational work center and attend various recreational activities.
Sceyne Community Home
Sceyne is a large four-bedroom home for six co-ed adolescents and young adults functioning in the profound
range of mental retardation where ages range from 13 to 26. Residents attend local schools or a pre-vocational
work center and attend various recreational activities.
