Guidelines:

Facilities are licensed by the Texas Department of Human Services and must meet guidelines established by the Health Care Finance Administration (HCFA) of the Federal Government. These guidelines are the Interpretive Guidelines for Intermediate Care Facilities for the Mentally Retarded. Each facility is surveyed by the Texas Department of Human Services on at least an annual basis to ensure compliance with these standards.
